First of all, it's been a while since I've been back on the board...sorry about that! I've checked in from time to time but not nearly as regularly
as I used to. It's been hard now that work has blocked some "non business sites"...blah!
Anyway. Last night I went to the show in NYC. It was pretty awesome. The last time I saw them was when The Con tour started, at another venue (Webster Hall). That was good but the sound in the place was horrible, at least where I was standing, I couldn't make out a word they said or sang. But last night, was SOOOOOOO much better. Every word crisp and clear.
But enough about the venue's credentials...the band was kick ass. Tegan opened up with Call it Off and Dark Come Soon. Then she (or Sara, I couldn't see the stage yet...) asked who was at the show last night, and said they were intending to do all differnt songs. I don't remember the rest of everything in order, but there was definitely:
Like Oh, Like H
Walking With A Ghost
Not Tonight
Nineteen
The Con
Where Does The Good Go
Hop A Plane/new revamped (and kick ass) Superstar
Love Type Thing (Sara dedicated this to anyone in the crowd on a date or in love)
I've Got You
Umbrellla
There were two songs I didn't know, One Second from that I Take All The Blame EP, and another but I can't recall when it was played, I just remember it was Tegan again. The encore was awesome too, Tegan and the guy Dallas did a totally different rendition of The First...you didn't even recognize it till the lyrics started flowing. And before Sara ended it all with Back In Your Head, she offered up some parting words about how she's gonna still be having sex when she's 80, which was ongoing banter theme from earlier in the evening when they talked about their 80+ grandpa who apparently is still quite the stud. Some other banter escapes me right now. I wanted to post when I got home but I was too tired. Hopefully some others who were there will fill in the blanks!
