....first thing out of Sara's mouth at the show was telling the crowd that we smelled like marijuanna! **Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!** i was sitting up in the balcony and it felt like reefer smoke just filled the whole entire theatre, it Was a bit too much... it became an ongoing theme for the rest of the night. (i was thinking to myself "I hope its not gonna be like this the rest of the 3 nights and i'm finding myself at the Airport w/ a drug sniffing German Shepard at my luggage from the stench that had permeated on my laundry.)

i really digged the rendition of "The First". Dallas put a great harmonious flow to it and made me hear the song in a new way. i have to say, i actually never really cared for it before, ha! T&S talked quite a bit on politics, Sarah Palin, Obama...

TEGAN AND SARA . Friday 10/17 - Night #02

Set-List:
(....first 7 songs are the same from 1st night.) and the rest slightly changed-up:

Not Tonight (w/ Matt Sharp!!)
Dancing In The Dark (w/ Matt Sharp)
Tired of Sex (w/ Matt Sharp on bass)
Back In Your Head (w/ Hunter Burgan on Shakers + Matt on Tambourine!!)

....the energy and vibe of the crowd was definitely way up from the 1st night! at the beginning of the show, Sara hinted "Just Wait! " although the first couple of songs were the same. (in the encore, she introduces Matt Sharp which got everyone excited and the covers "Dancing In The Dark" and "Tired of Sex", both sounded amazing!! Sara held up a sheet of the lyrics to T.O.S. afraid of forgetting the words... ). T&S both put on black glasses to mimic Matt's glasses and what better to end the show w/ both Hunter and Matt for BIYH, WOW! ...this night rocked ass!!

other banter: Tegan calls out a guy from the crowd yelling out for "Our Trees" and Sara mumbles "Asshole." Tegan then tells him that it's not a good song although she wrote it and will not be playing it. A pair of white boxers was thrown on stage by some guy w/ a note & ring asking Tegan to marry him. **Yawn** Also a pair of Converse shoes was thrown that scared Tegan a bit since they almost hit her at the feet and she had to back away saying "Holy Shit! " (....i wonder what happens to all these stuff that gets thrown on stage, does anyone know? )

T&S told the crowd that they wanted everyone to vote No on Prop 8, and Tegan mentioned that she wants to get married in California... **Smiles** Other than the obnoxious "Our Trees" guy, it was a reeaaalllly good and amazing show! ...hearing "Dancing In The Dark" and seeing Matt Sharp! though i'm not sure how i feel about the "light show". (at least the lights didn't go out in the middle of a song like it did in the San Francisco show! that was weird... ). wouldn't it be even more awesome if Kaki King came out to do Floorplan on the other 2 nights?? ** Please, please** ( ...of course, it didn't happen!)

TEGAN AND SARA . Saturday 10/18 - Night #03

Set-List:
The Con
I Bet It Stung
I Know, I Know, I Know

Nineteen
Hop A Plane / Superstar
One Second
Give Chase
Knife Going In
Walking With A Ghost
Living Room
Burn Your Life Down
You Wouldn't Like Me

Encore:
The First (w/ Dallas)
Dancing In The Dark (w/ Matt Sharp)
I Hear Noises (w/ Matt Sharp on bass)
Tired of Sex (w/ Matt Sharp on bass)
Back In Your Head (w/ Dallas on Shakers + Matt on Tambourine)

....during a banter Tegan gives Sara this big hug that "would make their mother so proud." (the cuteness level of that moment shot up when before the hug Tegan fixes her hair & checks her breath beforehand, then after Sara has to push Tegan away from her!). Dallas talked about his friendship w/ Tegan and how that upon meeting someone, knew that they would be best friends forever. Sara was in a very appreciative mood and gave a heartfelt Thank You to everyone. "even though our economy is shit but chose to Spend/to come out & see them" meant a lot. for that, they were gonna Rock Out! **Yes, indeed**

Tegan sang a song i haven't heard before "Give Chase"? said its usually her sound check song, but still it was a nice surprise! and so cool to hear something new even if it is a bit dark!

what i missed: T&S came out to say "hi" to people waiting in line early before the show. i was told they were outside around 3:20pm-4 o'clock-ish. (got there just after 4:15, not sure what i would say though except "hello". sounds silly, but i'd be a bit nervous to meet someone "that everyone knows who they are" like that).

TEGAN AND SARA . Sunday 10/20 - Night #04

Set-List and Encore:
(the same as Saturday's set-list w/ Hunter Burgan returning on Shakers for WWAG Encore. )

....during the middle of "Where Does The Good Go" Tegan had crowd sing the lyrics while she acted out the words w/ facial expressions (she mainly made sad faces!). in "Tired Of Sex" loved seeing Sara without a guitar and just dancing & clapping while rocking out to the song! she was doing a bit of hip shaking too while she looked over at Matt's direction (he was all dressed up for the last night wearing all white). T&S told their Smashing Pumpkins/sleeping in a parking lot for tickets Story w/ their mother in the van. And another concert story of Tegan moshing from bleachers, getting bruises from falling, which resulted her pants ripped-up to the crotch. **Insert screams from girls in front here.**

i didn't notice this until i was going thru my digital camera, that Tegan had a new tattoo on the side of her left forearm. but from my dark photo it looked like it said "Kids 50"?

Sara made it a point to mention that she heard someone from the previous Saturday show calling them bitches cuz they were talking about gay marriage and "No to Prop 8". then she said, that the person maybe then should of been at another show and not to ruin her night!! **I'm aghast**

departing words from T&S: said that they will be working quickly to record a new record and put it out next year! also mentioned that a photographer (also named "Lindsey") has been traveling w/ them on this tour. (hmmm, should be interesting to see what they do w/ these, get published maybe? a book?)

If anyone from .Org have read thru this far... High-Five to ya! (if not, then i'm just writing this out for me to re-live my Awesome T&S concert experience and i'm glad i was there to enjoy it.) out of the four nights, Friday and Saturday stood out to be the best. in the end, i did get used to the light show though occasionally blinding me at times but did have its moments of adding a visual context to their performance. it was fun just to wake up and the only thing on the agenda was to go to a Tegan and Sara show for four nights in La La Land! ...good times!!
